Windfall #2

The entire estate has been destroyed by the fire. Heirlooms and furniture reduced to dust. Only several children’s toys have somehow remained intact, pulled from the ashes by the investigating authorities.

When questioned he has no knowledge of these objects, all belonging to his wife who is still missing and assumed to be a victim of the blaze. Further investigation finds the toys to be fireproofed, each one containing a hidden camera that has been recording continuously for weeks.

When the toys of his late wife are opened up they begin to spill their secrets, her insurance policy paying out at last.
