We board the ferry just in time, flustered and sticky from the six hour drive.
Our journey consisted of arguments and wrong turnings, of stressful clock watching and luggage anxieties. Halfway through we faced some road rage, a madman yelling obscene threats of violence at our vehicle for no apparent reason.
Now on the ferry it is all behind us, our engine off and our vacation ahead. Through the rain we watch as the car in front opens its door, the driver stretching his legs.
We sink down into our seats, keen to avoid our second encounter of the day.
